Quit when your ahead

The campus was dead , dead as door knob . Spring Break was last week and all the students were gone and the faculty were out. All left on campus was staff. And we are not that exciting let me just say . The campus is to quiet when all the students are gone. We actually look forward to them . Some may not have a lot of interaction with them. But they bring life , something to watch , talk about. I will say I have not missed flute day or horn day . My building is the Art and Music Building . But they all well return.

The weekend I am afraid to report was not much better . There was hope of a weekend getaway and it went out the window. Saturday was 3 hours wasted on watching Derek change his hub on his truck and that didn’t fix his problem . I originally was there to help, but Papu was there and he helped . I did fix my kiln and melted a wine bottle. So that was something.

We had the usual Saturday night argument of “whats for dinner ?” Huffmama chicken won ! Parmesan Chicken Meatballs were a go for Sunday lunch . Not bad . And then I tried new cake recipe and I should have quit while I was ahead with the chicken. It stuck the pan! It was a site for sore eyes. White Chocolate Raspberry Cake and that goo was all over the pan and well I didn’t even put icing on it. Next disaster was Crab Dip it was flavorless, not terrible just not what I wanted. And then the lobster meal happened again. Remember a few weeks ago I posted about lobster. Well this time there was way to much help and opinions and hands . I really should have quit cooking at the Huffmama chicken and meatballs .

Fingers crossed for a more exciting week and weekend. Only time will tell.
