Another circuit around the sun. The day was quite a celebration. The day started with Quinn out of nowhere singing Happy Birthday and made me cry. So not like me. But really crying in a school zone and can’t find a tissue.  Went into my building to find my door decorated with balloons and just so you know I like balloons. Not sure why. But there was a gift on the desk. Went to seek who left it . Came back to find a Day of the Dead mug with a lovely fall arrangement in it. Miss Ella did so well .

Later Marla was guilty of the door decoration and arrived with fruit and cake. Such a nice lady.

Dickerson arrived to work at her usual 10:30am with a large bouquet which she informed me it was bribe and Happy Birthday. Ella is leaving her and she wants me to come work in her office. Not happening. Klingemann has said ” She is welcome to borrow you but your not going anywhere!”

Jordan brought Giraffe coasters and some green sauce.  I love Giraffe’s they are the best!

So I headed home for lunch where I found Derek and a large box on the table all gift wrapped.  He apparently was trying to beat the deliver guy home. He thought he succeeded. Thought is the keyword .

I unwrapped this box to find air conditioner filters and Derek said “Oh I forgot those were coming!” then it was up to me to figure out how   he was to get this package. Delivery was sent for the next morning and nobody would be home.  I called UPS, I looked online it really wasn’t possible. I messaged a friend who is a UPS worker and he said I can put it on a truck that will deliver about 7:30 if that’s okay?  Perfect.

Later that afternoon Orchids and succulents came. I am currently feeling the pressure to keep things alive. The Struggle.

Derek texted to bring steak home. I thought really? What if that’s not what I wanted? Cause it wasn’t. But I got the steak, And Katie came by. And we patiently waited for the UPS.

I was starving. But nobody was cooking. I took it as he didn’t feel well and wasn’t cooking the steak he sent me after so I went on a search.  And that moment the UPS driver appeared. The box was heavy, the camera came out again which made me nervous and I was a bit worried honestly. And there it was a new beautiful handbag. He might be crazy for buying it. I seriously cannot believe he did that. And it’s one of those things you can’t say Look what I got to another female because jealousy run high in the estrogen world. I am very lucky. I’m not a jealous person. Never. I have a great life and I’m always happy for people if they get cool things. I get it. I do not work with so many people like that.

 Finally dinner was cooked and we shared a steak and had an adult beverage and off to dreamland we went.

Sadly I woke up at 3:30 am and I stayed awake . Made for a long day .

I will have to endure the in laws tonight. But I have this odd feeling I may be getting a new Mary statue.

Someone…..  Derek broke my Mary’s head off. Let’s not visit that situation. But if it to big for Mamu to bring by herself and she can’t lift it. It’s the only option.  Right ?

Time will tell

It was an AWESOME day . The Pumpkins in my patch are amazing . The RamFam is a real thing if you embrace it. It couldn’t have been any better.

P.S. I showed Jordan . He didn’t get jelly over my handbag ! Is it vintage ? he asked .

So I skipped a week cause oddly enough . I had things to do . And I’m trying to finish my real estate. So boring right now. Just gotta get through it . So on a high note last Friday I borrowed Quinn . We went swimming and she ate fruit we had nachos. Then she was the typical toddler bed hog. She wanted eggs and mashed tatos . But ended up eating my eggs , potato and chrizio . Who knew. She helped clean out the freezer and thought almost everything was pizza . Then it was Mac N Cheese for lunch . Derek and I played something like tennis in the drive way she was less than thrilled. Took a swim and she was out for her nap. And when she woke her mama was there. All was happy .

The rest of the night was extremely quiet . We weren’t sure what to do with ourselves . Quinn talks no stop and moves non stop. But don’t worry she was back for a pool party the next day for her brothers birthday . And that was HOT . 104 outside. Us August babies are not lucky when it comes to our birthday month .

So my left foot has been swelling quite a bit for the past 2-3 months and now it’s gotten to the point I can’t wear my tennis shoes to go walking and I’ve gain like 8 pounds. So someone better fix something quick. Now I did break it 5 years ago but why would it start swelling now. Ultrasound coming. Stay Tuned .

Our trip back to Hawaii is booked and paid for ! And now that’s the only thing on our brain is Aloha! We have never researched anywhere we go . This time oh my goodness . I guess cause we are taking our niece Ivie Kate . And I know she’s excited but her uncle might be a touch . But everyday that’s all he talks about and I get emails about. I’m just sitting here when he talks about going ” yeah !” thinking man I really hope I lose 20 pounds before we get there. And can I get a really big cold front so I can just pack for it already .

There wasn’t much excitement in the kitchen . I made pizza! Found some pre-made pizza dough by pilsbury and it’s not bad. Other than that naps lots of napping .

What’s cuter that puppies in a basket? Quinn of course.

Quinn’s babysitter needed a week off. Not from Quinn but it’s an in home daycare. She needed a vaca.

So the small village took there turns with her. I had her Monday. It was Awesome!  We had to go to the store 1^st thing and find food for the day. She decided Mac n Cheese. I thought I would be a terrible baby sitter with no meat. Dino Chicken it was.  pop for later  then we needed a new baby and we ended up with a baby in a bucket. Which if you didn’t know was a baby in a carrier. Which let me tell you I put that baby in that carrier and all she did was turn around and take the darn thing out!

So completely wore herself out in the pool and she crashed out for two and a half hours which for some reason I was crazy enough to think I was going to get a nap. But NO that’s when people decided to call and then well I just cleaned out my closet. So I was productive.  Who says you can’t get anything done with a toddler around.

She is obsessed with my fish tank. We ran down to my mama‘s she has a Plecostomus. And adult has enough trouble with that word. Try a 2 year old.  She gives it a good try. But then she wanted to know why I didn’t have one. Well I did and it died  Her response was “ OH”  She really really wanted Nemo on the TV but Unfortunately all of a sudden the DVD will not play but  the surround sounds works perfectly but not the player. But hey I can put baby shark on the TV and not have to use my phone. And never in my life have I seen a child get so excited about a video. And I thought it was a fluke. So I let her watch it twice. And I died. Thankfully she didn’t ask again.

There was a battle of where are the house keys Quinn?  , “I don’t know where is my paci? “ Find! “ you find my paci !” I sat on the couch she went to the kitchen. She ran into the kitchen and said “Outside! “What? “Key!” oh bathroom floor. We both we different directions and came out happy.

Whitni and Heath arrived Toby was relived. He got his house back.

The rest of the week was fine.  Coworker took vacation, Office is quiet. The weekend was nothing to write home about. Derek cooked. Hung out in the pool and used the projector watching The Bucket List Family. Until the lighting got to close.  We got everything in the house in the nick of time. It was a quiet rain. And really didn’t last long. And another round came about 4am.  Sunday my least favorite day if you guessed laundry was next you are so good. And I made empanadas. They turned out pretty but my chicken needed something.  I think I was worried about them being to runny that the filing was to dry. They didn’t taste bad. They just needed something. 

Dinner was supposed to be an outing and it turned in Derek eating Friday leftovers and I being a bit upset cause there really wasn’t anything to eat in the fridge. And He just kept saying where we are going to dinner. I say a place he shot it down. But he never came up with anything. And I was left to my own devices. Pizza happened. Chicken , bacon and jalapeno pizza .

And that was the week. No telling what will happen next week. Time will only tell.

Let me be OLD and say 60 degrees in July never happens in Texas ! Ever ! Will it did . It may never happen again . But it happened and it was Awesome ! The evening were nice and no the pool was not ideal but I was almost okay with it. And the morning walks were just as cool. Two count them 1 , 2 Thunderstorms on Monday . Amazing !!!!

Tonya had a birthday she works in another college in the building . Some people aren’t sure how to take her sometimes and I get that. I didn’t either at first. But I celebrated her with flowers and a balloon and with a melted bottle and thanks to Jordan’s idea a Pinkies Liquor gift card. Cause who couldn’t use one of those?

Friday I had made two request 1 bottle of Black Crown and Green sauce for Derek to bring home . He only brought the hooch. Apparently he either valued his sanity or he thought he benefited from buying the Crown . And he doesn’t eat the green sauce. I might live . I’m not sure.

He attempted to make homemade tortillas . It was quite a sight. I laughed and laughed . He on the other hand was not laughing. But I was not laughing when dinner didn’t happen til almost 10pm . And then there was just a bunch of Youngblood’s videos.

Saturday we ran into the rodeo parade in Eldorado seriously . Stopped at a red light the sheriff closed the road and the parade started. And there was Emmie on her float. Sad to say she was not crowned queen . We headed to Utopia said hello to all the old people had a small conversation with Ivie about Hawaii and headed home. Where dinner was a flop again . Sunday was the ordinary laundry day , Derek finally got dinner perfect . And I can’t event begin to tell you what it is. Why ? Well because I can’t say it , why should I even be able to spell it. It will sound like Pebbles is trying to have a conversation if I say it. It was yummy and at this point that’s all that matters. And then we watched the Bucket List weekly video on YouTube and at 7:45 Derek went to bed.

Next week is sure to have some fun , there is never a dull day with Quinn . And there will be a full day of Quinn!

It was a boring week . I honestly could tell you anything about it . It’s that awful ?

Let’s see . It’s been really really hot . Maybe that’s why I can’t remember.  Wednesday Quinn and her brother and sister came for a swim . And pizza . Quinn tried to steal Toby it didn’t work out for her. But he did swim with her so that was exciting for her . I asked her what she wanted on her pizza and she said ” eyeballs” so I made her come inside to look at pictures to see what eyeballs are . What I thought might be olives Nope pepperoni. I was way off.

Jordan the boy ordered a lamp it’s made just waiting on the base to come in . It looks a little to tall to me . But he can be the judge of that.  Super easy to redo if need be. I tested out on a base at work and well the hole isn’t big enough . My driller informed “oh Yeah I need to make it bigger but it was hot and I was hungry .” Yea Okay .

So that dear sweet husband of mine is hell bent on building the Brillhart house .Which is fine . Nothing wrong with the house except it’s small and doesn’t look energy efficient . But it’s more of the statement he made that makes it seem more like a punishment on how we are going to get there than anything. If we get there. And how we are going to sell it in the future is another question. Maybe after 1000 cemetery trees are purchased to block out the trashy loud neighbors , I don’t know. Time will only tell.

The weekend came and it wasn’t fun not even and ounce. It was just plum annoying . Derek was home when I got home. He did bring lots of Jumburrito green sauce home. And I had to buy him dinner . Ban Moon apparently went on holiday which was rude of them . So we went to Twisted Root. Derek was in bed by 9 , Saturday I was awake at 6am he woke at 8 am and then it was to the place and Lowe’s and to get new tires put on the truck and while we where waiting Derek suggested going to Hooters which I really wasn’t into . But let me say the waitress was super nice and my chicken nachos where yummy. I’m not about places like that . I don’t care if others go there. I’m mean get your kicks where you can. But the girls had on more clothes that the Twin Peaks girls and it was more comfortable in Hooters than Twin Peaks.

Sunday was the usually laundry and watching Eat Pray Love while ironing a little pool time . Then off to the grocery store Cause Derek who all morning could not eat anything in the freezer due to his cholesterol .  Wanted me to do something with crab . So Crab Nachos it was. Apparently they were good I didn’t get any . I honestly didn’t want any. Nothing really sounded good.

The talk of travel has brought up . I said Greece he said “Cool look into it ” and then of course Hawaii . If I could get one person to call me back about Greece that would be great. To see if it’s going to happen or not. I honestly was thinking next year. But Derek was thinking this October. So we shall see . He said figure out Greece and Hawaii . Hawaii is always in December. That is an easy one.

So I did not drink all weekend and I’m thinking this may be my reason for feeling crabby. This is not a good thing.

I could fall asleep at my desk today .  No kidding . I currently should be reading Real Estate. But it’s not happening . If your not going to remember it. Why waste your time and it’s at a real boring time. Being nice to and fair. Really why is this not common sense? And why are the chapters so long ?

This week Jordan the girl turned 22 and Curtis turned 62 . Jordan is in El Paso so there was no celebrating on our end. Curtis on this end well. He really likes the attention. So I had a cake made . And while in San Antonio I picked up a couple of Harley Shirts for him . He was on cloud nine.

Waygu Nacho was on the menu. Yes that’s right waygu. So typically Waygu steak is about $22 a pound. When I returned home after work Derek had beat me home. I walked in the back door and there was a bag. And let me say Derek did say he bought me a present. So at first I thought oh good I don’t have to make dinner! But no …. It was better!  Your thinking how could it be better. It was wait are you ready. Seriously are you ready?

32oz of the most delicious green sauce ever. Amazing and even little cups to freeze it and share it with my work husband.  So I only shared one container. And I might should share another. But well…. We will see.

The weekend went much to quick . Saturday was spent 6 hours in the truck. Went to Austin. Derek made a Craigslist purchase. And we seriously turned right around and came home.  Are you ready he fed me Taco Bell. I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I have eaten Taco Bell. Then to Lowe’s and HEB and Sunday was just laundry and pool time and as usual.  Mamu and Papu did come by to bring Derek’s Birthday present from July 1. No time like the present. Honestly Papu just ate my green sauce and Mamu was judgemental as usual.

So the 4^th of July was a quit boring day . There was no BBQ , There was swimming. I honestly can’t even tell you what we had for dinner. The fun began Friday . I wanted to go to Big Shell. But it was a holiday weekend. However nobody wants to travel 60miles down the beach line. But then there’s the interstate that has ridiculous travelers so we decided to wait.

So instead we went to San Antonio . When you have lived there and really didn’t do anything. Why would we visit?  But I didn’t not complain or miss the opportunity to leave town. We went to the river walk I was adventurous and tried their 32oz Jalapeno Margarita it was no Cork n Pig . But it was okay .

Visited the an antique store that was HOT three stories of no air conditioning just little fans. I have no idea why we did this. We knew there was no air conditioning when we set out to do this . Thank goodness I had the margaritas it made me kind of not care to much . It all seriousness it’s a really good junk store and the record store has anything you could ever want . But you should go in the dead of winter.

So there is this Turkish store . And I love the chandeliers . But there is no place in my house for one of these things . If we had built a house in Midland I might have been able to get one. But as of right now. NO. And after looking at them I might be able to make one. Until then are you ready ? I got an eyeball ! It’s suppose to bring you good luck .

Derek wanted a Target cause he had been to two not finding what he wanted .  Third time is a charm ,The liquor store was in order cause as he pointed out. I apparently only put myself in the car. Then off to La Fogata . And I will never recommend anyone eating there. The food leaves much to be desired . I mean who puts mushrooms on a nacho ? But the margaritas are delicious. And you really only need one. But who am I to judge if you order two. But please have a driver. Last I heard Uber was not allowed in San Antonio. So Good Luck.

I could not find a hotel room in San Antonio . And to be honest. I only looked at the ones who gave us points. . So Pleasanton ,Tx it was. 30 miles away . We could have cared less. We drove 30miles to that HEB when we lived there to buy groceries.

Saturday was the most humid day ever . Lets  just say the hair was in a knot . And I had the bright idea of visiting a mission . Not sure what I was thinking . Which ended up be the wrong mission . However , we found the correct one Mission Espada. It was rock and pretty with 3 bells and everyone was taking family pictures in front of it’s doors. Why? Of all the doors in San Antonio . The other mission had doors and nobody was using it’s doors. Anyway it took awhile . Over it took forever. But I got my picture.

Derek wanted to go to the Pearl . And I cannot tell you or make you understand how humid it was.There was no breeze. We walked around and decided we should head home and made a pitstop in Kerrville for some Italian. And to home we went to get out Toby . And to make another concrete table in the rain .

All in all it was a good holiday weekend . The beach will always be there. I will get to Big Shell eventually. Let’s see what the new week brings. Until til next time .

Oh man it was a long week. What felt like Wednesday it was only Tuesday . Then Wednesday came and it felt like Thursday . And it didn’t help that the Mr. was home Monday and Tuesday night . He didn’t wake me up though on Wednesday .

Monday was a normal day, Tuesday I had to take his truck in to get it look at . It jiggles. And after driving it , it was annoying . He took Opal. I had a driver pick me up and take me to work. Katie came at lunch and we went to lunch at Chick fil A. Not where I should be eating but if someone is offering to pick you up . You just go where they want to. And then she even came back at 5 . So nice of her.

They found nothing wrong with the truck. It’s doing as it was designed to do. I think NOT ! Well Mr. Asked if I picked it up , No did you pay ? No you have the card number. Yes but they may question that I have no card. I could be putting it on any card. Well what he didn’t say is I’m headed home. And at 6 he shows up mad I don’t have the truck. But they closed at 7 and we went to get it. The house was silent the rest of the night. He watched YouTube with no sound. And after about 30 mins he went to bed. Strange fella he is. I do understand he’s upset they found nothing wrong. But if your trying to be mad at me. Your just working to hard. I made the appointment I took it in . I was prepared to drive it all week . This too shall pass . .  I mean it’s not like I came home and found my dog ate my furniture (sorry Jordan )

I had Birthday shopping to do . I have one ordered on Amazon . Found the Birkenstocks at The Carriage . That is all taken care of .

The Big question ,enquiring minds what to know …… What are we doing this weekend?

Mondays are so foggy in my house. The house comes alive at 4am on Monday . Derek gets up and showers and then all the lights come on . And there is a nude man screaming He needs some underwear . He needs socks . He needs a shirt . Really turn off the light its to early Pookie. Sadly this event repeats itself on Thursday morning also.

But Friday came . And I was all alone at work and the day flew by so quickly . I accomplished so much . And then HEB…. Someone in their infinite wisdom has decided to rearrange the grocery store. I went up and down that place twice looking for two things and finally gave up left without one of them. I’m sure it will be fantastic when it’s done . More room for Mommy meetings in the aisle. But lets think. Why did you move seasons from the baking to the boxed dinners and spaghetti NO SENSE ! Oh well I survived .

We had Chicken tacos without the shell it was in a lettuce leaf. No it was not a lettuce wrap . Nobody wrapped anything ! It was folded in half . Chicken and beans and a roasted corn avocado mix to go on top. It was a hit. And then someone totally messed up the healthy theme I had going . And he ordered Pizza from the Christoval Pizza. It was so yummy and overflowing with toppings. And honestly I thought it was cheap compared to in town . But whats a 15 min drive to get pizza . We could have eaten it there but , took it home. And it was still piping HOT . And we spent the rest of the day in the pool.

Sunday we put down a new floor in the pool house. And then just stayed in the pool.

And we went to Goodwill ! So every once in a while we stop and see if we find a treasure. This time we were on a mission . To find a 8mm or a super 8mm projector. And we found a 8 mm it works . It’s loud ! But it works. The theater department had one and let me borrow it. And then Bob had one that Jordan went and got . So there are currently 3 projectors in my possession and I still can’t watch the films I wanted. Just the great Grandfathers home films . They are cool . Disneyland in 1960, Grand Canyon. The odd part is they did this all by travel of a car. I couldn’t imagine it today .

We end the weekend watching films and sharing a piece on cake. Whats happening next week time will only tell .

Do you like Zucchini and Squash ? I mean really like it . How about LOVE it ? Unfortunately if you are in my circle I really hope you LOVE it. And if you don’t well I suppose there is a reason your not in my circle so there. But I have about 15 squash and zucchini plants . I’m nowhere near close to joking about that number. I have the veggies out my ears.

I have made Zucchini enchiladas, Zucchini Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, Zucchini Cobbler, Zucchini Lasagna , and well you never know what I’m making next week.

The Mr. is in New Hampshire all week and my house was quiet , no surprises. I’m not gonna lie. It was nice. I cleaned out closets , made a mess , I even cleaned out his automobile and it was GROSS.

Friday was a Great Day . I was all alone at work. And then there was pizza ! Yep I get excited about pizza . Jody and I had Mexican pizza at Cork and Pig . With laughs and good conversation , to bad we didn’t drink. The afternoon went very fast and Saturday afternoon was a short drive to San Antonio and pick the Mr. up at 12:15am at the airport. I did a tiny bit of shopping and crashed at the hotel. All until I get a phone call ” I’ve got my luggage get ready !” Oh shoot I just up and headed to the airport. By the time that man wound down it was after 3am then had the nerve to wake me at 7:30!

A little visit to Taco Garage , such yummy green sauce . And I luckily didn’t have to drive home I was a sleepy Huffmama. But once I was home to the pool I went and didn’t get out . The Mr. headed to see is Dad being father’s day and all . Where he returned and we cooked crab legs. And I will never to again with him. So many rules and instructions. I gave up . On the upside The Great Dog Depression has ended.

Toby knows the days of the week . That poor thing waited and watched on Friday for his daddy . Then just carried around a dirty undershirt almost a week until I finally took it and washed it. It was pathetic .

I watched and waited for a storm that didn’t come on Sunday until way early in the morning. But hey we had one. And the vacation came to a close. And back to everyday life . Lets see what next week holds.
