So it’s been a while . How can I condense all of this ? I’ll attempt the short version and only the highlights I’m afraid there might be more pictures than .

Thanksgiving was quiet just the two of us . And Derek thought it was sad . The Christmas tree was already up , So I decorated the front and Miss Quinn came to spend the night so her mama could black Friday shop . And well… She peed on my leather couch . 1. Accidents happen. However it just because she didn’t want to get up half the lights were on where she was. 2. Derek was up when it happened. But she blamed the dog , then later said “ my mom told me I could”. So when mama showed up and her screaming . “ my mama is never coming back !!!” Whitni asked her “ Quinn what is this ? “ and she had a smile on her face all proud and said PEE!!!!!!!!  And that’s when I got mad . I understand accidents can happen. But … But in the end Henry ate her pacifier that is does not need. And he took care of that.

Mr. Henry is determined to shred his bed . I’m not sure how many times I can re-stuff it and sew it back together.

Lola came over and spent the night . We were supposed to go to the ranch . But he changed his mind. We had nachos and she wanted to watch the Titanic she said “ Yeah Germany sunk the ship ! “ Hey Lola it hit and iceberg .  The look on her face. But we watched and now she knows.  It was breakfast pizza and we made dog treats and made Topo Chico candles.

Sunday was a cold day , but sunny Henry and I took some rays in . And finished the candles.

 While I work from home . Henry naps and then we go for a walk and then he naps and watches for daddy. Still tries to eat the new Birkenstocks .

Friday night  Lola did Sweet 16 photos . She was so much fun . She said she felt like a princess and a model. And I must say They turned out very well . Sunday’s photos that were supposed to be Saturday photos …. Not so much .

And I should be at home working but I’m not . I’m in the office cause my boss is spoiled along with all my other friends.

Well that wasn’t to bad.

                            Happy 65^th birthday Mama ! The cake was made , roses bought and lunch cooked. She did question what was for lunch . I have never  made a Black & White cake it wasn’t hard to make. I just don’t care for chocolate . They loved it. Roast with potatoes and carrots and Green beans , with homemade bread . They were only there maybe an hour and my mama said “ Lets go they don’t want to entertain us all afternoon. “ And  she gets it !

I spent the afternoon putting up Christmas decorations . Was a little annoyed Derek wanted to tell me how to do it . But not help me . Almost fell of the ladder twice . But I got it all hung outside. Katie is coming over Monday night to put the top on. And she better bring Oakley!

And in baby news. Derek old co worker well maybe that should be the wife and husband worked for him and with him . They had a girl on the 18^th of November . 7 pounds. Mom 48 , Dad 30 something. And now Derek . “ Huff why don’t we have a baby ?” ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? Two years ago you were out in even trying ! Well you didn’t explain it to me . Oh I did . I said hey my egg bank is short and I might need to take this medicine or get a egg donor. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! I didn’t tell him . Then the words of “ you never said you want to have a baby “ No I just didn’t $1,500 worth lab work that’s all . Pull my hair out. Then I ordered pizza ..

It was a Croods on the back porch and steak  for dinner Saturday night . It was nice and cozy . Until the new neighbors turned on there lights . And it was over. We went inside .

And that was the weekend. Not exciting , and honestly not much to read .

Only two days of work and curious if we end up coming tomorrow. If we do I’m totally wearing my tennis I bought light up laces ! I mean the amount of times I’ve almost been ran over . Why didn’t  I know or think of these things !

Last weekend was a slow go and kind of nice really . Got Breakfast to go . And then headed out to Dove Creek . Derek was working on Model A parts and I was rounding up all the Christmas stuff to have for this weekend.  Yes, I put out all my stuff  6 days before Thanksgiving . And the reason is . It’s a habit . We lived in Corpus Christi I had to put it all up the week before and set the timer so on Thanksgiving night the light would all come on at 8pm for the children in the cul de sac . And I would come back to San Angelo and meet Derek in Comstock for Thanksgiving.  San Antonio we almost didn’t decorate. But then we felt lost . And did it.  Ha “ We”  And same story we never spent that holiday in the city we lived in .

Until… Now . However I hope , I pray . He wants to go to the ranch . I told him go for it!  The day means nothing to me . I see him everyday . I enjoyed last year probably of the years .  Feeding people who were grateful and appreciative . Everyone cleaned up . There was laughter. Not one person doing all the work.

But there you have it . Tomorrow you know what I’m doing .

Sunday, I used The Goat to clean up the drive way little did I know I would look like pig pen off The Peanuts show. The machine mulches and you go . And I probably should have worn a mask . You don’t even want to know what came out of my nose . Derek tasked the Model a and I kindly cleaned out the truck . While we tag teamed makes Hot legs Princess Bekah Lou who. And then on the longest launch I have ever watched . I was told 4pm and not it took two more hours !! I couldn’t listen to it . Muted it and went to fold clothes in another room.  Finally it happened it was a night launch . And I don’t know if I’m a fan of it. Derek loved it and thought it would be cool in person.  Hey maybe in person but not so much at home.

The week started quiet and stayed that way . I flopped on healthy breakfast right out of the box . The UC for amazing sandwich . The hair went all natural  a few times. I got a tour of the museum which was cool . I really want to see that 3D clay printer work.  Our Awesome hard-working facilities guys got the new Christmas tree up . I really think they had a case of the I don’t want to.  Saying they couldn’t figure it out. But low and behold they did it .I knew they had it in them . Or Ella , Jody , and I might would have go figure it out for them.  Woman we do lots of things  without instruction and certainly don’t need someone telling us how to do. We might have need them to get the top all together. I’m not about heights.

And now we are back at the weekend . What will be for dinner I have no idea . I believe someone dropped a hint of Pho.  And then I must make a birthday cake . My mama turns 65 . I will put up the tree and everything that goes with it. Oh I have to make pecan pie bars.  So I cannot make a pecan pie that’s why Jody does it for me. But I can make bars ! Guess we shall see what the weekend has in store .

Halloween came and went much like any other holiday has I’m sure the next two will be uneventful.

We carved the pumpkins , We bought the candy. And we went to the ranch . Yep you read that right . Two pumpkins $30 in candy and it’s all sitting at home . Derek left out and I went to run a couple of errands. I get a phone call it’s go hunting . It was the last day of bow season… We loaded up Henry and I packed a bag. And we where gone. Stop at the ever so popular Dairy Queen for lunch where I had to get a grilled chicken sandwich .. I don’t recommend it. I say go for the Jalitos . If you are a fan of bottle caps . Go for it. They were not bad . Better than the sandwich .

And on to Del Rio where I had to go to Heb for dinner. And on to border patrol check point where the guy was speechless. Seriously No questions asked. A look of  Are you kidding me ? is what we got . And after a very long look . We got have a good day . And I died laughing . Derek kind of chuckled. And Derek wondered what that was all about . I said “ you know how we pass the cameras and go cheese and fake cheesy smile ?” yeah . “ Well I saw him look at the monitor and we drove up . I guess they can see our pictures ! And then he understood the look and long stare. In 15 years this has never happened . We do this every time . And this is not something that has ever happened to us before.

To the ranch we went. The weather was actually nice and not hot , not cold . So you have heard me say this is not a place I ever desire to go. But if I have to go . I will pick hunting season. Less creepy things happen mainly cause their afraid of being shot. Henry ran around at the cemetery . Cleaned up a bit , I really want to throw some sunflowers away but I wasn’t sure I should. So I left them. I’ll let the sister handle that. Then Derek went on a hunt before the sun was gone I took pictures of the sunset and waited on the moon to rise. It was Bright !

You could see the glow over the hill . Then the sky went black and the orange ball appeared. I didn’t notice the glow from Mexico so much that night. Derek grilled dinner. Henry took his place on the couch and Derek let him . And then Derek crawled into a twin bed and started to snore. I cleaned up . Locked the doors and took a shower and just hung out . Sunday morning the sun bright and we loaded up and headed home . Texted numerous people for a favor . Yvette was the life saver.  She went over and put the pork butt on the smoker for us .  He forgot it had to cook about 15 hours.

Election day, someone will win and someone will lose.  I wonder if the whole world will go mad tonight. Let’s pray it doesn’t .

Have you ever used a waffle iron to make a sausage patty & a waffle egg. DON’T DO IT ! Derek attempted to make breakfast . It was thoughtful. I slipped Henry the waffle egg. I’m a texture person. So if you decide to go against my advice . Please clean the damn waffle iron . Nobody wants to clean that. And then I was given the worst news . Derek said there was a casualty that morning. I thought ” What could have happened?” He said “well one fuzzy Birkenstock” . And then the day was shot .

I pulled myself out of bed . Headed to Target for the baby Qtips. Then on to HEB where people couldn’t drive. Also still had Birkenstock on the brain . I loved those shoes. Then I took a long nap . Where I honestly thought my mood would improve. I had hoped it would have . But NO.

So Monday came and I had a case of the I don’t want to. Tuesday was to have raining and Wednesday Snow . And I really really needed a snow day . A mental health day was needed . And then We got a ice day ! It was touch and go . 1st delayed til 10 then SAISD was cancelled. And I was making pancakes and doing laundry . Cleaned the kitchen , all the grays covered, Toes polished , hands polished. Derek came home early and we went to find pumpkins and grabbed Hildagos for dinner. Which led us to watch Killer Klowns. It was not great , and thank goodness it was short. Followed by a very disappointing This is Us .

Wednesday we carved our pumpkins. It’s a good time. Nobody was injured . There was much laughter. As there should be. We lit them up and then I glittered the strawberries. I have never glittered food in my life ! But there we where. And thankfully Derek ate his dinner in the living room so I didn’t have instructions. Blue and Orange glitter did not go everywhere . I was surprised. I hope the girls like them . Off to the homecoming game it will be something different for us . Typically not our thing. Let’s see how many child Trick or Treat !

Well she was an Overachiever by all the women around me . Katie didn’t think she would last till October. And everyone around me laughed . “Oh I had my first one a week late , a week early . They can’t come when you want.” Well she wanted to wait and save $3000.  But nope Oakley Mae made appearance September 27, 2020 Sunday . Not quite what her mama wanted . She has chubby cheeks .

Derek headed to the ranch to seek him a deer with a bow. I made farmer’s pie , sausage balls, orange colored pancakes, bacon and delivered it all. And did NOT get to hold her. I should have collected my food and went back home . Cleaned house almost all day . There was just things that needed to be done . You get that right ? And it doesn’t get done with him home. And just when I thought I was alone. He reappeared . Saturday I made more pancakes and and we had the remainder of pie and sausage balls. Henry had a pancake or two also. It was a trip to Sam’s and HEB and a nap by the pool.

Which bring us to the weather . I really thought pool weather was OVER. Clearly it isn’t 81 currently . Sunday 100. How? How am I suppose to go pumpkin shopping in this heat ? It makes me not want to go . Just settle and go to the local pumpkin patch.

However no trip if I do not get my tire fixed . And I do need my car inspected. However the state has forgotten about me . I have yet to receive anything in the mail. To remind me to do this. I asked Derek multiple times. And it didn’t get done. The tire thing is new. I simply don’t want to mess with it. Is all it boils to. I want him to do it. He’s home and around now . Do one thing for me ! One thing! I HATE dealing with tires.

It has not been an exciting week . My boss was confused why I would know how to fix a kiln . And then decided he would use a melt bottle as an ashtray for his cigars . It’s fine if that’s what you chose to do with it. But don’t tell me that . Please. I vision much better things being done with them. Not that I think they are fancy by any means . They are just recycled wine bottles. But don’t put your trash in them ! jewelry , change, keys, food, something ! Not trash . I took them out of the trash to re-purpose them . Jordan came to the conclusion I didn’t exist that day . Nobody listened. Ella laughed. ” I always listen to my Jamie ” I’m glad one person does.

And it’s Friday and Derek is in Comstock working and will just stay there for the night. Funny getting paid to work on your own windmill . So I do get the night to myself . Carbs for dinner it is ! My tire will be fixed tomorrow. I will suck it up and be the adult and throw in the towel . I clearly have no choice . Maybe I’ll go make so ashtrays .Time will tell .

And the Corona was to be  among us on Monday  . It was a matter of time I suppose. So here we are like a time bomb . Do we have a symptom or is it an allergies ? So Jordan got his brain stabbed. Meanwhile people questioned “wait how did he get the stop sign , oh we all have to be tested, Hey I’m trying not to get this !” Oh please people. Some of you don’t cook and only eat out . One of you goes to all grandkids sports and eats inside of restaurants and was going to the movies. I think there were two of us didn’t give it much thought. However the liquor was delivered.  Chick Fil A was delivered. And what do you know . NOBODY HAD IT ! !! Jordan was negative and his wife’s work gave her the wrong results. The End !!!!

Derek’s little job . What did he get himself into ? Oh man . You must remember he is legal guy and super safety guy . And a bean counter. And there was no safety anywhere around him and he was a bit freaked out. And realizing the owner’s son in law is costing the company hundreds of dollars in supplies is eating at him . He said we needed $30 of wire we used $200 . I don’t care what customer was billed but DAMN !  I think he had a bit of fun in the end . But certain things are getting to him  he gets in about 7:30 eats and goes to bed. I realized this morning . He’s homeless and gets paid less. To work at 7am home at 7:30pm …. And works on the weekend .

Whitni really want us to go to the football game on Saturday . Part of her birthday request . Okay cool. She also knows there is no Ram Jam and there is Concert after the game and you must be at the game to see this concert. Aaron Watson . A country Artist with no alcohol has this ever been done ? Well they certainly didn’t make getting tickets easy . Online only east side . Nobody wants to sit on that side !  Box office opens at 10 . We went to the Junell to be sent to the baseball field . And arrived just in time . To find all tickets are general admission. We estimated there where only about 500 for sale. So we must arrive early to get the section we want. Yvette will be joining us ! It seems she is a fan of his also. I think she was shocked to know I don’t know a thing about the sport.

Mr. Henry tore up his bed one afternoon . He did so good for the 1^st part of his day. I guess he got bored. But now he thinks it’s a toy ! Then tried to eat Derek’s Birkenstock’s . That was a chore to get them from him . And then he got a spanking with one. The next day I realized when I leave for work he cries and howls . So everyday at lunch I go home and we go outside and play and I do a little house work and back in he goes. I keep telling him when you learn not to tear up stuff I’ll get you another bed. Today he didn’t cry . And at lunch he went in his house at lunch. Maybe he’s learning I’m not leaving for good.

The boss had a rotten day it was one Zoom after another, and a crying student with a problem and then a phone call then lunch . Then another call after another. I think he wanted to destress but it was time to go home . And we left him. He doesn’t drink during the weekend . And I get it. But he needed one to just relax for sure yesterday . I don’t even think the guy got to pee . Pretty sure he thought we where bad talking a Chair and we certainly were not. We were simply trying to explain how we think the thought process is . To not stress out . Not so sure it was communicated that way when Miss Sour face got involved.

Katie is about to have a baby . She would really like wait til October 1. BUT she doesn’t think her body will wait that long like she’s an overachiever. Her due date September 28 . All the other mamas around me think she will make it. My sister walked around dilated to a 4 for two weeks with her 1^st ones , yes plural twins . But Katie just knows the mystery girl is going to fall out before October.  I mean she’s not always right I did argue the fact there was no Lemi Shine dishwasher pods in Target. “But the website shows in stock !” There isn’t even a place on the shelve where they GO !!! 45 minutes darlings 45 mins. I am a nice person . I am a nice person . That was rough . I did find them at HEB . And on that note.

The grocery shopping is done compliment’s of a personal shopper free of charge. Totally forgot to add toothpaste . But I grabbed it on my way home and I got my shock it . Went home and played with Mr. Henry and shocked the pool . And realized I was not cooking. Ordered Pho . Went and grabbed it came back . And did laundry Called it a day.

And here we are on a Friday afternoon. Derek asking me to pick up his contacts at 3:20 . Really ? Miss Sour Face has left for the day No Idea what dinner is , And I don’t think I care at this moment. This weekend I need to do some cleaning and a pedicure and it’s suppose to be a lovely 96 degrees tomorrow. The one evening I have to be outside . I’m so excited……

The week wasn’t uneventful . Let’s see how this weekend goes shall we ?
