Easter Adventures

Easter has come and gone . And it was super non-eventful. Good Friday we had a holiday .We are not always that lucky but this year we did . Everyone and their mother were out that day . Which made it a pain to go anywhere . It looked like Christmas Eve around town it was ridiculous !

Henry made it snow . It wasn’t my pillow . But it was everywhere and then he attempted to bring it into the living room.

On Friday I only needed a few things a watch charger , gas for Opal , a carwash , and dinner . But Nooo lets stretch this out to an all-day event to only have someone send me back out at 4pm . Could have pulled my hair out. Derek got stuck out in the country with his dad . And got nothing accomplished. Cause he just assumed it was Good Friday he was off. Serves him right !

We went back and forth all day about what to do Easter weekend . Even though 3 weeks ago I stated I wanted to go to Corpus. And even had the hotel picked out . But NOOOOO ! It was his choice in the end. San Antonio and going to the zoo, and Japanese tea garden , Lupe Tortilla.

This adventure started at 5 am , you heard me 5am because you have to get to the zoo before it opens or you’re not going to the zoo. It rained the whole way there. Until we got there. It was overcast till midway through the zoo and it started to rain . They have some show going on Dragons and Dinosaurs . There are fake animatronics dinosaurs all over the zoo. And the birds are eating them. They are cool but a bit of a waste if the birds are going to snack on them . They have these Mold a Rama machines at the zoo. And every time we go Derek will ask ” What animal today ?” well this time I made all the dinosaurs . I mean really $6 of happy fun and work people either put them on their desk or I keep them at home .

The rain came and we decided to have a look at the Japanese tea garden which wasn’t that great and there were just too many people so we went to get lunch . Venture to Lupe Tortilla took an hour to get our food where we were so stuffed . We decided we would not stay the night . But I needed one stop that required The Quarry or The North Star mall . Derek chose the mall. Store had long lines and people wore masks. But they would only let 5 people in the store at a time. Lucky the store we needed had no line.

And we headed home . Back to town by 7pm and picked up Henry . He was wore out ! Those little girls ran him . Sunday was blah . Checked the garden . It was full of lettuce . It’s pretty ! One taste like butter lettuce . But that’s not what it is.

And then it was wash clothes and make tacos fold laundry and off to bed I went . Had a terrible dream about ticks .

Henry had vet appointment this morning for his ears and hair falling out. $182.00 later he has yeast infection in his ears and no idea why his hair is falling out in circles. But here give him fish oil . If it gets worse let me know . Meanwhile Derek is freaking out . and once we were home he would not get out of the car. For anything !!! I offered toys, milk , bones, treats. Finally he moved and I ran and errand . And totally forgot to get him a new leash . And that’s a must before I go home . And on to work to write this blog .

Well we escaped Easter and it was quiet and no stress or anxiety which was great . No more holidays for a long time Thank goodness.

Oh Henry ….

Fridays really are a downer in my life . Nothing great or exciting happens. I never know when anyone will be home and it’s not business when they show up . So I sit and wait and starve and get cranky . And by the time anyone get there. I’m over it .

Once upon a time Fridays were spent driving to another sit to see what adventure in that city awaits me when I got there and people where happy to see me . Then it became we left on Friday’s mid-morning to set off on a road trip . And granted some Fridays were at home but it had some excitement in them . But those are no longer .

We ended on Friday it was a long wait till anyone came home . Henry attacked someone else’s toothbrush this time !! Finally the wait was over and we headed to watch the fireworks. That some got in the crazy heads would not happen . For reasons having nothing to do with the university or baseball game honestly . One person doesn’t have that much power unless you’re the president. Back home to find dinner . Which was to late for dinner really . But he ate buffet in the fridge and left me with slim pickings.

Saturday and Sunday were just busy . Up at 5am and thought let’s knock out the grocery store. Uh no . Waited and waited and ended up by myself at the store. The one day I really didn’t want to do it alone. Not sure why . I do enjoy shopping alone . But not that day. An uneventful trip to Heb it was and Target .

The blinders were kind of on . I honestly saw nothing I wanted. And back home I was for a bit . Cleaned the kitchen and Airbnb bath . Went and gave an overpriced haircut to an old man. And what I mean by over priced . I don’t put a price on his hair cut . He rolls up is money and says not to look just put it in my pocket . Cause I didn’t take it all like last time . As I did what I was told . Silly old man. Back home to attempt green Chile Verde chicken it was not that great really . I compared a bunch of recipes and even reach out . I’m over it. Tried to watch tv . But it was off to bed.

So you would think sleeping in at least till 7 or 8 would be a given after a week but NOOOO. Sunday awake again . And there wasn’t even breakfast . I jumped in the shower and Derek was off to Lowes and then out to the place . Where I was contacted to get lunch and drive out the Emmie to get it out of our drive way . Thank goodness. I grabbed the healthiest lunch there was an ice cream for Henry planted some items in the garden . And it was back home to Color hair and I was supposed to cut Jude’s hair but she wasn’t having the wet the hair thing she wanted it cut dry . Do you want it even ? Her mom jumped on her. And it was decided to be done for another day . Off to get manicures . Let’s say that was an adventure. Jude please take your meds. Please . And then Henry got a bath !

Chicken was made he had the $33 salmon. Really, I never saw him eat . He did drink and drain the water heater. It seams we might need a new one soon. Airbnb came back home in a bad mood due to GPS . And all was right in the world .

He ate my toothbrush !

It was a weekend of laughter and play-doh , frozen shaped mac n cheese, mashed potatoes , dino chickens, unicorn mac n cheese, ice cream , and the best part swinging . The swing was the best $25 dollars ever spent . Now the $20 twin well they are okay . And well who can put a price tag on Henry the best playmate ever. He was happy to see her come and extremely annoyed that she took a long nap. At midnight he looked at her and like girl go to sleep. Eventually I gave up on her and just made her go to our room and he dragged his bed over and slept next to her . However when 5:30am came . He nosed her and pawed her . Hello friend! She crawled in bed with me. Derek took him out and breakfast and a walk. And she was sleeping so well. And he jumps on the bed and got in her face . Friend ! Wake up !! And then we where up and I knew by 10 we would be taking a nap . But we stretched it out due to the swing . We made it to 1pm. And she was out like a light for the next 4 hours . And then it was back to the swing . Henry was sad to see her go . Don’t worry Henry she will be back .

And 2 hours later he found a new friend . Vivian , the Airbnb guest staying for 31 days and has already fallen in love with our town and found a house she wants and every junk store you can imagine . except on Wednesday morning as she was ordering her Starbucks a mouse came through her air conditioner vent and decided it wanted coffee also. She had a terrible time getting to work. And that is all she thought about all day . She really didn’t want to drive it home , But braved it and did. Derek searched the car we saw it twice. Vivian screamed and I think the neighbors heard her. As she went to yell at her husband. I got the sticky traps out put peanut butter on them captain crunch on two placed them in the floor board. After an hour or a little more. The critter went for the Captain Crunch . And then was drowned in the pool and off to mouse heaven .

It was a dramatic evening and very entertaining for sure.

So every day I go home for lunch I let Henry out , have some lunch , take Henry for a walk and give him a treat go back to work . All was good and routine until I came home at 5 . He was lounging in the French door window. I opened the door. There lays part of my toothbrush and of course he bed has a small hole and there is weird foam on the floor. That’s normal . But then I find my apple watch charger in many pieces. He is smart enough he has figured out how to the 2^nd door open to the master bedroom .

And once again it was only my stuff ! But it wasn’t a shoe ! Is he mad I go back to work ? I play with him , I walk him , I give him a treat . FYI take him for a walk in the morning and evening and I feed him and I play with him . Daddy just shows up and says HI . WHAT THE HECK !!! Eat his stuff ! I take a late lunch . He really only has a couple of hours before I come back home . No wink in the eye. Oh Henry what am I to do with you ….

It was a couple of hour at the vineyard . I wanted Envy and they are out til they bottle again . So I went with Almond and you can never go wrong with Sparkling Almond . A glass of wine for each and a sunset . Derek got home just as we did. It was a much quieter evening.

Most schools are on Spring Break . We are not . We are Spring Broke. Which is fine the students didn’t need another week. 5 more weeks and they are out for the summer .

We are off to the weekend with a house to clean and laundry to fold hair to trim. I’m hoping for Easter in Corpus . Fingers crossed.

And she lied

It was an eventful Friday drive to Bee Cave to meet my sister. The trip there was a bit slow moving cause of old people and I hate highway driving I would much rather be on the interstate , And I had the option to go to San Antonio but I chose not to . Somehow, I arrived a bit early . She got caught in the rain which slowed her down. But it all worked out. We went to World Market and Home Goods. And then it was time to brave a restaurant . Which wasn’t all that bad . Now I haven’t been in a restaurant in a year so I don’t really know what it’s like here at home but the number of cars in the parking lot says everything. However we had lunch at a Chilis and then we both headed back home . She did tell me “ it shouldn’t be bad . It’s 30mins to Llano , 30 mins to Brady , 30 to Eden. And then I decided to time it .

And she lied .

Henry made a disaster and broke dads glasses

Friday night extremely uneventful. Saturday was the normal trip to HEB and laundry . Just as I decided to take a nap the Airbnb guest showed up. Went on to cutting a 94-year-old mans hair I really thought it would take 30 min it took an hour. Derek wanted Hidalgos for dinner . Not exactly what I wanted . But oh well . Only one dramatic situation . Apparently, we didn’t have hot water. After getting Derek to go look at it. We didn’t we think maybe it just needed to be reset . So we hung out in the pool house as long as I could and off to bed. All three of us in bed. It most un comfortable. I live for the day we get a bigger bed. Sunday the guest was gone at 6am . And the day resulted in everything I didn’t want to do. Breakfast from Rosas. ( yuck) And just when I thought he was taking me home . NOOOO it was “ don’t you want to garden ; don’t you want to go plant stuff ? “ So here’s the thing it’s all planted and no more room. I planted a sunflower exciting stuff right there. And then I sat on the stairs while Derek built a swing . And then I think he realized I was bored. And it was off to HEB and back home . Where I really wanted a nap . And it didn’t happen of course.

Derek had one job , one job cook the pork . And I was making the sides. And that all went to hell when the smoker turned it’s self-off . And restarted. Smoke was everywhere !! And why the man decided to smoke the pork I will never know . We normally grill it . And then he had to pull more out of the fridge and grill them . It was Baker chops and mashed potatoes with a squash cornbread on the side . It was yummy . Mainly the squash cornbread was the best .

The sun went down and came back up and has brought us to a new week . Where all the talk is about Megan Markle and Prince Harry . And from the clips I’ve seen I would have left too. We are babysitting this weekend so I have new play- doh , dolls, shoes and a swing ! Someone is going to be very happy . The idea is to keep her so busy and that we don’t hear Where’s my mama? If it’s pretty maybe a park ? Not sure but we got to keep her moving .

Let’s see what the week has in store . The mask wearing mandate has been lifted and all establishments can be at 100%. Lucky us . Might be an interesting next couple of weeks. As always time will tell .

Cause I needed one more Buddah. But it a planter !

Cat in the UC !

A week of vacation !! Not really . Let me explain . The husband has been gone all week !

I have ran the dishwasher and the washer and the Dryer all at the same time ! Or even just two of them and nobody has complained ! My kitchen is clean every night , sink is empty . Walk by 7:30-8ish and shower and chill til I go to bed . I forgot what this is like .

I’m off on Friday . This never happens. Not sure how exciting or entertaining it will be . But away for just the day will be great. There are moments I wish I had someone to go with me . And then I’m glad I will be alone .

One Airbnb guest this weekend they are attending something a tournament of some kind. It’s just for one night . Pretty sure that will be low key and non-eventful .

Henry the great protector …. So he has been sleeping on the bed. And I have to give up my spot so he can have it or he will be laying on top of me . But as a general rule he sleeps alone. But with daddy gone. Every noise he hears in the night he growls and barks. Which he really doesn’t ever bark . And I don’t know if I was screaming in my sleep or if he barked and I screamed . But he slowly went to the bedroom door looked around. Slowly went and got a toy and brought it back . Walked very quietly back and got his deer antler brought it back . Whatever he thought was going to get him it was not getting his stuff . Hiding under a blanket on top of me he certainly wasn’t worried about me.

Last night I decided I would try the grilled spicy sandwich . Of course I took everything off of it . No lettuce , no tomato and no weird cilantro lime dressing . And Honestly I didn’t want the pepper jack cheese. But when you do curbside chick fil a it’s not communicated. So it wasn’t bad. And I guess the niece was excited for me because it wasn’t breaded . She knows I like the breaded one and watch the carbs. So on that note it was very sweet of her. Would I order it again ? Yep .

I’m on to the last of the laundry. So on to cleaning carpets and walking . Tonight is a very exciting night . On that note my legs are killing me !! As I sit here they are throbbing , aching this exercise must be working Maybe they need a good soak in the tub (it wont happen)

I’m sure the weekend will be planting the garden some more. And cleaning the pool . Almost everything is planted . Zucchini , cantaloupes, watermelons, green beans , radishes, tomatoes, cilantro , onions.

He ate another pair !

I want to know how many of you wives and husband’s layout the others clothes for the next day ?

I’ll give you minute . I’m most positive the answer was none of you . Which tells me my husband is a baby or spoiled . If I don’t do this in the morning I hear “ I NEED SOCKS , I NEED UNDERWEAR , WHERE”S MY SHIRT . I NEED PANTS !!” Because if I say it’s in the closet , it’s in your dresser. The come back is “ IS that the dresser in the laundry room or living room. “ In his defense there are times I think I put them all up and well there in the basket or in the dryer . Cause I do not get to do laundry until 8:30 -9ish sometimes. And I’m aware you did manual labor but I am equally tired and want to go to bed. So he’s just lucky they make it to the dryer . Are you with me ?

And that brings me to the next child in the house. Henry oh Henry . He ate a damn shoe . My shoe . But it’s never been worn so how would he know it’s my shoe . Monday, he had a pair of canvas crocs to himself . And never did anything with them . Tuesday, I pull a pair of sandals out and thought no , not today . Pitch them into the tub and went on. He had to seek them out ! It was everywhere. I pick up the shoe he was so proud. And I popped him and he tuck his tail and then came another pop and he headed for he door . He looked like My mama has lost it! And wanted outside and that’s where he stayed for an hour.

We had neighbors move in behind us in October and I could tell if that was there children being annoying or their grandchildren. As they yelled “ this pool isn’t cold “ The heck it is ! Which bring me to my evening . I’m minding my own business on my phone , enjoying being outside before the cold front hits . Henry is running around and I hear “ Wow those people have lots of money their pool is huge !” with her mom sitting on the swing and her dad at the girl and who knows were the other girl was . Nobody told her to get down , nobody told her that it was rude . So Summer I feel will be a blast . This might make me want to move .

After two days of 70 & 80 degree weather the cold came back , not terrible though. I went to the mother in laws and booked her hotel for Texas Tech Health systems graduation , man they got vaccinated and are just moving around. Then it was off to the liquor store for tequila for Friday .

Ivie took a job offer here. She is currently looking everywhere for somewhere to live . So she keeps sending me places and I or the girl across the hall sends her kids to go scout it out. This last place is a little on the line . Like not the best neighborhood around her. But the next door looks okay. Derek last weekend wanted to buy a house and rent it to her . Which isn’t the worst idea . So I have been looking . I know he wanted new like what we had in San Antonio but thats just not going to happen . But I have found two and going to go have a look .

Tonight is margarita & nacho night . I was really hoping for Saturday instead but somehow it got set for Friday night.

But it will be okay . Not a terrible amount of things to after work . Maybe Derek will get off early.

On to the weekend we go ! Have a good one .

I have no idea why they hang out in there or cram themselves on a little love seat

When Hell Froze Over

As you all have heard . Texas was a touch cold this past week . Nothing earth shattering just a low 0 degrees out there at 4am . And the high of 4. What you need to realized and when we get snow it’s gone by noon the next day . And we only get 1-3 inches . What we do get is ice ! We hate it and love. Love meaning chances of us going to work are slim . And yes the town shuts down. But this time Elsa waved her hands gave us a Big snow . And I am not complaining at ALL. The problem lies where are city had a water crisis the week before and well we did NOT recover quickly . However in this house it still was not a problem . We always had water and used little as we could . And always had electricity . But for solidarity we turned the heater low and and just snuggled in . My mom did have an accident in the ice on the first day . But all survived but the automobile .

It was a week at home and it was honestly much needed . I needed a break . Someone may say a break from what ? Hard to explain really . I couldn’t go anywhere and had no where to go , and anything I had to do . I didn’t leave the house for 4 days . It was great !

And I decided we are just idiots in the middle of a crisis . We went to the store while everyone was stock piling we only bought what we needed . So when we actually ran out and had to go to the store it was a bit of a disaster . There was nothing . This happened to us back in April also. But we did not go hungry . We made it all work . Derek was a bit frustrated when he didn’t want was at home and we rarely eat out. And there was nothing open and if it was open . the line was a block long. So we went back home. And ate salad. And a weird spaghetti. Don’t ask .

Friday the sun came out to melt all the snow . And it did a pretty good job. I was able to go check the mail and go grab some milk . And back home I went . Derek was responsible for dinner and he had nothing .

Saturday we were moving and shaking before the sun came up ., it’s a useless trip to Lowes . We looked at flooring and by look he walk threw as fast as possible . I love the tile that looks like wood . I got a squished-up face on that choice . We clearly were not there to purchase . On to HEB that was a disaster. As we walked in we thought they were testing the fire alarm . Oh no no no it was the low water pressure alarm telling them Hey if you have a fire we can’t help you . This alarm wasn’t much different that the noise at school when we have a fire drill. However I feel it was much higher pitched . And my eyes started to water and all I could think is get me the HELL OUT OF HERE !!! And we did the only upside is they were handing out bouquets of flowers as you exited the store.

As we headed out Derek was on a mission for a much-wanted burger . And off to Dove Creek . Where I feel we spent most of the day . Derek’s bees didn’t handle the cold very well they call died . And that was a bunch of bees . I told him to clean the house he would get more bees . I worked in the garden . Everything is growing except the lettuce . Last year we had so much it was hard to get rid of. So I’m okay if it doesn’t grow. But the radishes , Cabbage , peas, Brussel sprouts are doing well . I planted potatoes and onions. And the never dying cilantro has already come back . With this being the last week in February . I feel it’s okay to plant more. Didn’t thunder in February so it won’t freeze in April . It’s been true for 15 years .

Sunday was a repeat from Saturday . Except Derek made breakfast and it was back to Dove Creek . Really the bees were dead . No wink in the eye . And it was back to the garden and on the tractor . Fixing the model A for delivery again . And cutting hair all afternoon . And then the crazy husband says “ hey I don’t know how something fell off our radar but I have something for us to watch ! “ And we watched The Book of Life . And he feels maybe he has seen part of it.

I never told him but he has watched and we own !

The snow is gone , And HEB is sending 3 trucks a day to all stores to get them stocked again . So all in due time life will return to normal . The snow has melted and we left to seek the damage . We have a faucet leaking , and well the pool pump is history as some of the elbow fitting are cracked.

We will return to work on National Margarita day with 70-degree weather . And I have to deliver a tiara to a Princess!

Sweet Revenge

A new evil eye has come to my possession ! If you remember I have the big blue glass one .And now a doormat ! When I was looking for a new bed. I found it on the World Market website. And Iv was kind enough to bring it to me. and now it sits at my backdoor.

Henry probably had a more exciting week than I did . Jordan caught the cooties. Chick fil a was delivered. Then there was a $20 offer to delivery burritos and I could throw them ! And I totally did. If he had , had a camera they would have gotten a good laugh .. Then I was to deliver his iPad. He complained about his wife’s cooking . I wonder if she was really eating what she gave him . We didn’t feel too bad for him he had a phone , he had an iPad and he could have had anything delivered he really wanted . But he’s almost free to cook whatever he wants. He says she can cook . But we have yet to hear about it Maybe her cooking was sweet revenge ? Paybacks ?

There wasn’t a lot of cooking at my house . It was more salads and one night it was a super dry steak Derek claims that’s how you like it . NO , I don’t like it to look like Jell-O that’s my only request .

Derek went to catch bee’s this weekend and he was successful ! Henry had a good time . Brought him back home wore out. I was all alone until Lola came and we made Red Velvet cinnamon rolls . I must say that was the most confusing recipe . We had three to compare . So we attempt one and it never rose. However they did get big in the oven. I’m not sure of the purpose of adding yeast. When we tried white . Maybe I should mention this calls for a cake mix . So after the 1^st go . We whipped up a batch of white and they kind of rose. Nothing like when you make bread . And they did turn out super pretty .

The fun was over by 9am Derek was back home and the ever-popular question . “ What do you have to eat ?” I assure you I never have anything he really wants in that kitchen . He’s like a teenager . He will stand there and look and close the door and reopen it . And finally decide on something and look less than thrilled to be eating it . Honestly when all there has been is salads . Your options are pretty slim.

Ella came over to get her hair colored and a trim before leaving for Kentucky. The evening was a bust . As most Sundays are . Who knows what next week hold . Will Miss Sour face come to work or milk another week at home ? Will Derek come home at decent time? I can promise the sun will rise and set , and I will do laundry.

Pink Oranges

And it’s the end of January when it was just New Years . It’s just flying by as usual with nothing eventful happening. It’s almost been a year since the world changed . And it doesn’t feel any safer than when it began I feel .

We still don’t travel to the Corpus or even San Antonio . No weekend adventures and honestly that was best part of our life . How we had the freedom to go and do . And we don’t any longer. It’ s only a trip to the ranch and we know how much I love that . Derek does try to make it fun . I give him that. But there’s only so many times I can order red tacos from Chinto’s and go to the hardware store to go to the boutique.

I just want to be able to go and walk the beach before the dawn . And eat breakfast . And go to Art Walk on first Friday . Get dressed up for Date night and go to Water Street for a spider roll or to the cute the Drunkin Noodlez restaurant that plays music you can’t tag . Go to The Pearl and walk around . Have a drink at La Fogata . And just relax. And you would think being at home . You could just relax . But you can’t . There is always laundry to do, dishes to wash, clothes to fold and put away , meals to plan and cook , yards to mow and clean . Pools to clean and treat . And then grocery shopping . Every Saturday morning . Off to HEB I go. So routine . Not fun .

So here is your week in review . We did get the winter garden started . Broccoli , Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts , Fennel (whatever the heck that is & radishes. And Derek is on a weight loss kick . It’s been salads every night which is fine but you should see his salad .They are a mile high and full of all the things he loves insert your eye roll here. He was bound and determined I was making a king cake .So I got the dough made and remember that it made two . And well I had 4 and two burnt bigger than Dallas which he finds hilarious.

A friend came down with the virus and so I went into cooking mode , Turkey gumbo to cure everything , Potato Chorizo soup well it’s new and I have no idea what it’s suppose to really taste like . But I was just going to sweat the virus out of him . 1 king cake , and A bowtie bowl was all delivered. And even Jordan got lunch.

It was on to patching more jeans for Derek . My least favorite thing to do. But I did find pink oranges . I can’t have a pink pineapple and heck I’m not suppose to eat fruit but it was delicious . Saturday was a very different day . Foggy , overcast, and drizzle all day . Neither of us knew what we wanted for dinner. To started with a trip to the Mexican grocery store, then to the liquor store , and last Weenie world it was . The absolute worst thing we could have eaten but it was yummy ! Noting something we really ever eat. I told him I didn’t want to hear how we should not have eaten than . And I never heard a peep.

Sunday was caldo I made his batch and I made a small batch for myself as an experiment . And it was spicy yummy. Derek wants to paint the pool house like the lava tube . Which I’m good with . But we better be staying put for a long time .

And well that concludes my weeks . I will continue to look at places I can’t go in Instagram .

And look at clothes I will never buy , cause hey where am I going to wear them to . Grocery pick up ?

Next week is the 1st week of spring semester with NO Spring Break this year . I’m sure excitement will happen somewhere.

Happy New Year Darlings

Where do we start ? We started off the Christmas with Gingerbread house making . Lola and Jude had the most fun . Lola made a camper and Jude did a tree house . The two gentleman Noah laughed and made his little house. And then there was Teegan . He did not want to be there . He wanted to be on his Xbox . But his mama made him leave the house. And he barely touch his house. Well HUD funds came through and the house was fix by Christmas in April folks . AKA Lola and Derek.

The mom’s where in the kitchen having Christmas punch. They must have liked it . They finished it off.

They all went home and I cleaned up while Derek of Course went to bed.

Christmas Eve was not very eventful . Nothing special really. I did make eggnog . But none was delivered.

Mamu and Papu stopped by with gifts . And had a sip of eggnog on their way to look at lights. They where very happy . The pizza showed up and they left . And we did the usual.

Christmas morning . Derek opened his presents and I made a Big Breakfast . And he messed with the model A and trying to get it returned . Lunch never happened since Breakfast was so filling . And dinner was steak and a potato with a veggie. Not exciting. With grinding up deer meat in the poolhouse and watching the new Croods movie . As I attempting to do something different. It seemed nobody really cared and it was just another day . Same thing happened New Years try to make it fun and nobody cared.

On the upside it did snow . That’s right we Got SNOW !!! Just so you know . That never happens here . We get ice and the town turns into an ice rink . So it rained then it was sleet and in a blink it changed to snow . It was so quiet and pretty out . And it snowed all day . My house had 4 inches . And we just looked at it. Turned the Christmas lights on outside . Henry LOVED IT . HE wasn’t sure if he was suppose to eat it or not. And then he decided to run and play . A friend in Michigan was showing me what to except the next day .. I had to break her heart and tell her it would all be gone my lunch on New Years Day . And sure enough at 8 the bright sun rose and it sounded like rain outside from it all dripping from the trees and bushes. The yard was back to leaves by 1pm . It’s pretty and I do wish it could have stayed a little longer and cloudy . But January and February are our coldest months you never know what could happen .

So it’s time to take down the decorations. Outdoors came down on Sunday , The tree only has lights .

A friend will complain he has to take it all down or question when should it come down. Well he also complained people put it up early. And lets face it some us did so we could enjoy it longer. And now it’s time for Valentines to go up .

It’s another week at work to make everyone happy …. Next week I better get a week home .

We shall see what the week holds.
