Is school food suppose to yummy ? I would not know what public school food is like . I went to private school most of my life and we had 3 grandmas in the cafeteria that made up lunch everyday . And on Thanksgiving and Christmas and Easter the Knights of Columbus from the lunch in . Which was delicious . However I visit the friendly gentleman every once in a while, in the University center to purchase breakfast . And for $3.40 it’s a heck of a deal . I can only recommend the Croissant sandwich but it is so YUMMY ! also satisfying . Like really should somewhat cafeteria food taste like that?
Anyway if you have never visited to get breakfast get the sandwich . You can’t go wrong . Two people swear by the French toast and hey their picky so you trust their opinion .
Derek went to the ranch with his cousin and left Henry and I home . It was a wise choice . But the fella just kept watching and waiting for his daddy . He did finally throw in the towel and went to bed. But he sure was up at 5am on a Saturday . Geeze .. Not Cool Henry !
Yvette and Lola came for dinner It was Huff mama pizza and Italian nachos . They had never had either . And hey the nachos still went with margaritas. Which Mr. Jordan went ahead and made them for himself also and posted it. No point in posting mine . I will appear I copied him . Derek was sad . He said “ Oh man those are just like Carinos ! “ well they should be silly.
We sat outside and laughed and Henry was on his best . He likes Lola . And then the neighbors came outside and they were loud ! So we turned up the music a touch not much . However it turned it’s self-down . But then we went to an old country song and it turned itself up . I’m glad Lola and Yvette saw this and I was not crazy Brownies and Ice Cream for dessert. Then Lola and Henry fell asleep . Yvette and I hung out. Then they went home and Henry watched out the window as they drove away.
Mamu and Papu showed up not 5mins from when Derek got home . I thought “ Did you track him ?” Mamu wanted to go to the alter. And they sat outside with masks on. That was a bit different. Henry loves his Mamu it seems and she appears to like him also . So I did pour an adult beverage . No I did not offer them one. They had masks on ! They left when it was to dark to grill and dang it. Dinner was eh.
And then morning came and I was alllllll alone in my office until I was to give a tour of the university to Derek’s friend . It was the whole family … Last two hours . Ran into many people. They all spoke to them and said Hello and was exited to me the possible new student. They were all excited about the campus and getting to Meet the Chair of EML and Chair of Teacher Ed. And then The Dean came walking it hard . Which probably left he biggest impression on her. Others where excited and he gets all kinds of passion when talking about following your passion and how to be successful . And I’m pretty sure he sealed the deal. Thank you, Dr. K !
